Two of these scholarships will be awarded annually.

The first:

• Awarded to the child of a member of the teaching staff, secretarial staff or custodial staff of Riverdale Collegiate Institute who has been employed at the school for a minimum of two years.

The second:

• Awarded to a student graduating from Riverdale Collegiate Institute in that academic year who has received endorsement from the Principal and the school Guidance Counsellor.

  Students in both categories must meet the following criteria:

• student must not be receiving another major scholarship

• must have a good academic record

• must be active in school sports, clubs or volunteering in the community

  This scholarship is designed to support the student THROUGHOUT their post secondary education. As such, this scholarship is renewable. In year 1, the student will receive $5000. In years 2, 3, 4 etc. of post secondary, students may receive up to an additional $5000 per year with proof of a B+ average and active involvement in a sport, club or volunteer activity during each school year.
